We are looking for a Full-Time, Marine Service Advisorto help us in delivering award-winning customer service and creating a unique and memorable experience for our customers. This position will assist the Service Manager in ensuring the success of the Service Department at our Wolfeboro Marina.
Job Summary:
Marine Service Advisors will report to the Service Manager and assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Service department and ensuring out customers receive prompt, courteous and effective service. In this position, you will be part of a team that specializes in the maintenance, repair, and detailing of most makes and models of boats.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Communicate with customers in a professional manner to gather all information necessary to create an accurate estimate.
· Consult and sell services that are applicable to the type of boat and customer’s needs.
· Provide customers with a schedule of work, updates, and any changes that may occur.
· Coordinate with customers on transportation of their boat.
· Finalize and invoice work orders.
· Ensure each customer has a positive service experience.
· Spend quality time building a relationship with the customer.
· Follow up after work is complete.
· Other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
· 2 years of Marine Service Writer experience, preferred
· Strong customer service skills, in-person and over the phone.
· Possesses a high degree of organizational skills.
· Ability to create and execute a plan and to react effectively to unexpected situations.
· Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
· Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively.
· Thrives in a team environment.
· Strong computer skills.
· Must have superior selling skills and knowledge of how to cross-sell products and services.
· Problem solving skills.
· Marine parts and services knowledge is a must.
· Experience with Lightspeed EVO, preferred.
Education:
· Associates degree in business or 2 years of customer service management experience.
· Valid Driver’s License, required.
· Boater’s license, a plus.
Salary:
$50,000 – $60,000 Base Commission, based on experience. Full-time, Year Round.
Schedule:
· Monday-Friday Weekends. (5 days per week)
· Monday-Friday in off-peak season
· Flexible Schedule
