Marketing Manager
Job Summary: This Marketing Manager will lead and manage marketing initiatives for the organization. This position is responsible for ensuring the execution of brand communications for Goodwill of Central Iowa’s various stakeholders, understanding the organizational goals and planning communication campaigns to meet those goals.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assists organization departments with formulation of strategic marketing plans and initiatives and executes assigned elements of those plans, including but not limited to print, online, social media, email, and other collateral.
- Helps establish both short and long-term goals for marketing campaigns and provides data driven results.
- Oversees multiple projects with varying timelines and ensures their timely execution.
- Leads the creation of content plans and calendars, coordinating with multiple departments to understand marketing communication needs and their alignment with the organization’s strategic plan.
- Partners with Marketing Team, vendors and freelancers for creation of marketing materials that meet expectations and budget.
- Ensures the consistency of the look, feel and branding of the organization and ensures messaging is relevant and accurate for varying audiences.
- Develops and maintains processes to ensure excellent customer service to internal parties for their marketing needs.
- Assists in the creation of annual marketing budget and monitors expenses for all projects.
- Identifies community events and coordinates promotional activities to promote Goodwill.
- Supports the Marketing Team with digital or print content creation as needed.
- Supervises and leads the Marketing Team.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in marketing, communications, journalism or related field
- Minimum three years of experience in a related marketing role
- Ability to travel to various locations within central Iowa
- Minimum of one year in a management role

- Strong attention to details, deadlines, documentation, and project timelines
- Must be able to communicate effectively with a wide variety of individuals

- Must be able to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
- Proficient in Wordpress, Email Platforms, Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with the following:
- SEO/SEM
- Basic understanding of HTML and an eye for layout a plus
- Email campaigns
- Merchandising
- Adobe Suite
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 5- 25 pounds occasionally.
