GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Direct tactical Human Resources activities that successfully support organizational strategic goals
Ensure compliance and interpretation of associate policies and procedures
At all times, serve as Human Resource business professional when representing Goodwill Industries of Upstate/Midlands, SC (GIUMSC)
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Evaluate accuracy of established internal Human Resources systems;
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of Human Resources reports and invoices;
Develop, implement, and interpret organizational policies and procedures;
Responsible for successful administration hiring (orientation and onboarding) and termination (Investigation, Final Incidents, and Exit Notices) processes for assigned areas;
Manage recruitment process, including advertisement/online postings, staffing agencies, job fairs for targeted audiences that best meet hard-to-fill roles and goals identified in annual Affirmative Action Plans;
Assist staff members and managers with associate development and performance management to include coordination of training, promotions, demotions, performance improvement plans, etc.;
Ensure efficiency, accuracy, and reporting of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) data entry; Expand opportunities to further enhance HRIS use and capabilities;
Communicate with employees/managers about compensation and salary administration;
Assist in ongoing evaluation of benefits to maximize value and enrollment for employees and the company;
Ensure documentation and recordkeeping of staff attendance, including disciplinary action;
Interview and manage assigned team member, interns, or volunteers;
Work closely with business partners to support practices that impact human capital within GIUMSC and our other divisions
Complete other responsibilities as requested.
Education: Requires a Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s Degree and/or Professional Certification - preferred
Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive Human Resources responsibilities. Preferred experience includes Benefits, Compensation/Salary Administration, and Talent Acquisition.
Qualifications: Must have above average oral and written communications skills for preparation of reports and materials for publication. Must possess strong organizational, administrative, and analytical skills. Ability to effectively interface with various individuals at all levels is extremely desirable. Must be familiar with regulatory issues, laws, etc. Preferred experience within non-profit agencies. Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Physical Requirements: Daily requirements may include sitting for extended periods of time, reaching, talking, hearing, seeing, standing, handling, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling as well as other generally accepted physical requirements. The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
