CNC programmer responsibilities:
- Review CAD models and drawings
- Utilize CAM software to create CNC programs
- Verify programs by running tests and simulations
- Determine fixtures needed and create designs
- Create tool list and research new tooling technology
- Create instructions and set up sheets for machinists
- Analyze speeds and feeds to optimize program efficiency
CNC programmer qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience with CAM programming and software
- Experience with CNC machining and metal manufacturing of tight tolerance product
- Manufacturing engineering experience
- Experience with Inconel a plus
