Job Summary
The Food Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of a food establishment, including but not limited to staff management, inventory control, budgeting, customer service, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Food Manager Responsibilities :
- Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise employees.
- Set performance expectations, provide feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels to meet operational needs.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Monitor food preparation, quality, and presentation to ensure consistency and adherence to standards.
- Develop and manage budgets, including labor and food costs.
- Monitor sales and expenses, identify variances, and take corrective actions as needed.
- Proven experience in food service management, preferably in a similar establishment.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Food Manager Requirements :
- 4 years' experience in high-volume food production and / or merchandising
- Hospitality Management Bachelor's Degree
- Proven experience in managing P&L and budgeting functions
