Primary Purpose of the Position:
Design & develop dies for plant extruders; prepare machining programs for CNC equipment.
Provide technical support for extruder problems.
Maintain die equipment for extruders.
Provide quality audit for extruder area of responsibility.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform activities that involve issuing reports, conducting product quality audits, issuing & dispositioning product holds, maintaining & interpreting product, process & material specifications related to maintaining & improving the product quality within the manufacturing process
Carry out activities that involve design & develop dies for plant extruders, analyzing data & conducting process & equipment trials
Education:
High School Diploma
Experience:
Experience either in tire manufacturing or quality/technology group.
Knowledge:
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Must share responsibility with fellow associates to work overtime to cover vacancies on opposite shifts.
- Must have excellent t safety, attendance & workmanship records.
- Knowledge of tire machines, tire machine drums, tire machine cycles & equipment.
