Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys in all stages of litigation, corporate transactions, and estate planning.
POSITION SUMMARY:
· Provide direct support to President of firm both professionally and personally handling all aspects of President’s office as requested.
· Draft legal documents and correspondence for trust administration, probate, estate planning, business, corporate and high net-worth/advanced planning clients as needed.
· Manage and oversee procedures and processes to streamline and improve operations
PARALEGAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Daily meetings with President to review priorities
· Meet with President after each “Advanced Planning” meeting to review and summarize next steps
· Draft Engagement Agreements for new clients/matters
· Revise letters and client correspondence written by President
· Revise articles for President
· Schedule appointments for business, corporate and high net-worth clients
· Follow-up with high net-worth clients who did not engage after initial consultation
· Return calls for high net-worth clients with questions and comments from President
· Monitor President’s email for urgent and important matters
· Maintain and update office memorandums
· Revise unique legal documents to be saved in the Form File
· Print documents for President
· Prepare Seminars/Webinars and related documents for President’s participation and assist with presentations
· Direct administrative support (both personal and professional) to President of firm to include, but not limited to:
o Oversee Calendar and Calendar appointments/items (ensure JMG has sufficient time for meetings/hearings/seminars, etc.);
o Assist with scheduling client meetings and greeting clients;
o Respond to client requests as requested by the President to include any needs, solutions to any problems, changes to client’s documents and organize/summarize all items communicated to President;
o Organize and update
o Type/compose correspondence as needed/requested;
o Internet research as requested;
o Organization/tracking of President’s travel accommodations
o Routine filing
· Draft estate and tax planning documents for capital gains planning engagements and high net worth clients
· Maintain Corporate Shield Service Clients throughout the enrolled year and preparing minutes and related documents as needed
· Meet with estate planning clients to sign documents
· Notarize client documents (if currently a notary)
· Discuss questions and comments from estate planning and asset protection clients
· Act as witness during signing appointment as needed
· All other projects as assigned

Qualifications
- Certified Notary Public
- Legal administrative experience
- Strong research skills, including legal research
- Experience in legal case management and document review
- Excellent writing and legal drafting skills
- Previous paralegal experience in Estate Planning; Trust Administration; Probate; Taxation; Business Law
- Proficient in proofreading and transcription
- Knowledge of contracts and document management systems
- Data entry and clerical experience
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Pay: $82,000.00 - $87,000.00 per year
