Work Shift: Job Description: Lead multiple manufacturing operations across multiple states through a team of Plant Managers and supervisors as well as individual contributors responsible for factory maintenance and Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering. Ensure increasing levels of customer and employee satisfaction while improving efficiency of people, materials, and equipment. Demonstrates exceptional leadership, listening, and communication skills. Specific Duties: Promote and role model organizational culture and values, specifically delivering Business Results, Integrity, Positive People in a Positive Environment, Extraordinary Customer Experience, and Future Orientation and Commitment to Personal Growth. Collaborate with other leaders to develop and drive the safety culture across the organization. Drive root cause analysis to implement corrective action and preventative actions. Develop best practices and establish standardized practices across all factories. Coach and develop direct reports and other manufacturing leaders to build their leadership skills and functional knowledge. Participate in annual strategic planning process and partner with senior leaders in the execution of strategic initiatives. Utilize lean principles and techniques to drive continuous improvement across all factories. Develop an improvement focused environment that engages all employees and drives standardization across facilities. Drive consistency across all manufacturing facilities to ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures, as well as employee performance management. Ensure employee relations issues are managed in a fair and consistent manner. Demonstrate strong leadership through effective communication and active employee engagement creating a positive employee environment. Effectively forecast capacity needs through the Sales and Operations (S&OP) planning process and deliver plans to respond to shifts in demand as necessary. Leverage capacity across all manufacturing facilities as well as effective cross training programs. Ensure standardization across all manufacturing facilities related to operational processes and procedures including safety, quality, cost, and output. Lead, facilitate, and support exceptional communication in each facility and across facilities. Work across functional areas with influence and solid relationship building skills. Establish and communicate clear goals and monitoring tools for effective inventory management including inventory turns, levels, and accuracy while maintaining a competitive advantage of quick reliable shipments. Develop and manage operational budgets across all manufacturing facilities. Identify needs and drive approval and implementation for capital expenditures across all factories. Solicit feedback from internal and external customers and suppliers. Develop programs to enhance satisfaction for the suppliers and customers in the areas of speed, reliability, and responsiveness. Understand, follow, and enforce all regulatory US and Canadian guidelines and rules for all state, provincial and federal regulations (ex. OSHA, EPA, DEC, NYDEC, etc.) Assist with international manufacturing projects as required. Position Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Management, Engineering, or Business Minimum seven years experience in a manufacturing environment with focus on exceeding customer expectations while maintaining cost effective, growth oriented operations Ability to develop direct reports and teams, build relationships and serve both employees and customers Proven experience leading Lean Manufacturing implementation including process improvement programs Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others Exceptional interpersonal, listening, and communication skills both written and verbal Excellent project management and leadership skills with demonstrated ability to manage short and long term projects and priorities. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, ERP software, and other computer programs as needed High self-awareness and emotional maturity; low ego Proven ability to develop and grow direct and indirect reports Strong presentation and facilitation skills Must have and maintain a valid passport, and ability to travel up to 25% of the time to customer, vendor and Gorbel® locations in Canada, USA, and occasionally outside North America Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license Core Competencies to be Successful: Commitment to confidentiality and attention to detail Technical/Professional knowledge and skills Strong analytical and metrics orientation; comfortable being measured against metrics and using data analysis to identify continuous improvement opportunities Communication/Influence/Negotiation skills Business Acumen Integrity and trust Action Orientation; Follow Through Emotional capacity Customer/Quality focus Work Environment: ADA Physical/Mental/Workplace Requirements Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
