What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Generalist position at Gordon, Aylworth & Tami, P.C.?
Our law firm is currently looking for a detail-oriented human resources professional to oversee the general HR needs of our company.
ABOUT YOU:
The right person for this position will be accurate and professional with good computer skills and an ability to thrive in a high-volume capacity. You must enjoy working with people, and be very comfortable with computers, including Microsoft Office Suite. You should work well with a small team, be efficient when working independently, and enjoy interacting with our staff. You should have a high aptitude for learning new procedures and processes, for taking good notes, asking questions when needed, and being diligently detail-oriented in your work. Reliable attendance is a must. We will train you in our ways, and encourage you to bring your own unique perspective to making this an excellent workplace. A background in human resources, including prior work experience and/or education, is required.
ABOUT US:
Our firm is a high volume, non-traditional law office with attorneys licensed in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. We are lawyers who practice in courts throughout our three states, doing debt collection work for our corporate clients, with the assistance of about 65 employees. Because of our high volume, we expect a lot from you, but have fun in our work, and don't take ourselves too seriously. We offer a casual environment with generous company benefits that include medical and dental insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, gym membership, and corporate events throughout the year - all stuff you'll ideally be managing once you're settled in. We want you to look forward to coming to work, work during working hours only, and leave it all behind when you go home at the end of the day.
ABOUT THE JOB:
Because we have a high volume of data, you should expect heavy computer use throughout the day, coupled with employee interaction. Our goal is that this will be a long term position with our firm, and we look forward to supporting you as you learn and grow with us. You will take on duties related to Human Resources and management including:
New hire recruitment, interviews, onboarding, and training
Employee reviews
Benefits administration
Maintaining employee handbook and policies
Employee interaction and employee incentive program administration
Assignment and follow up of work flow
Reports directly to ownership
You will have a variety of tasks and plenty to do, with lots of support for questions and training as you become an integral part of our team.
