Top Deck at Gordon Lodge is currently hiring Hosts or Hostess' for the season.

JOB SUMMARY (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

Manages the service of guests in the dining room. Greets and seats guests; maintains order and cleanliness; assures that guest satisfaction standards are consistently attained.

JOB TASKS (ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES)

  • Receives and greets guests, escorts them to a table and presents the menus
  • May assist servers by taking the cocktail or food order
  • Inspects Dining Room daily for proper appearance and ambiance
  • Assigns servers table rotations
  • Assists in handling guest complaints and concerns
  • Inspects dining room to ensure proper maintenance of a clean and orderly area
  • Manages guest reservations
  • Assists with service of food and beverages when needed
  • Assists with table clearing and resetting as needed
  • Suggests when additional service supplies and small equipment are needed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must present a neat appearance and possess a clam and relaxing demeanor
  • Ability to communicate effectively, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, and prioritize needs in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective problem solver
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage /coordinate multiple projects and successfully prioritize tasks with good judgment, initiative, and follow-through
  • High confidence level in addressing unplanned or short-notice issues requiring sound judgment

Schedule / Hours / Compensation

  • This is a seasonal job [Mid May – October]
  • Weekend hours are required
  • Nighttime hours are required
  • Holiday hours are required
  • Schedule is subject to change based on Gordon Lodge events and hours of operations
  • Hourly compensation based off experience with bonus potential at end of season

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
