Gordon Prill, Inc. is seeking an experienced, full-time Human Resources professional who possesses excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. This person will be responsible for Gordon Prill’s HR functions and will also assist with Office Expenses Accounting. Salary will be commensurate with background and experience.

Gordon Prill, Inc. is a dynamic Design-Build firm located in the heart of Silicon Valley in Sunnyvale, CA witha 40-year history of successfully delivering architectural, engineering and construction projects to established clients in the aerospace, biotech, science and technology and university markets.

Responsibilities

  • Human Resources
  • Coordinate hiring of new employees with company job postings and recruitment agencies
  • Manage On-boarding
  • Orientation
  • Paperwork (HR, Payroll, Medical)
  • Admin (Phones, background checks, business cards, etc..)
  • Manage Off-boarding/ Lay-off process
  • Retrieving all company property
  • Update all information (Medical, calculate fringes, etc..)
  • Manage health benefits enrollment and costs (Billing, new hires, terms, qualifying events, open enrollment)
  • Manage Labor Department compliance posters
  • Manage employee office desk ergonomic evaluations and purchases.
  • Point of contact for employee complaints and requests.
  • Manage Equal Opportunity Program (EEO), in-house
  • Tracking of current employees, hires, terms, and applicants
  • Organize quarterly EEO meetings
  • Automobile Fleet Management
  • Coordinate and manage the fleet of company automobiles for licensing, registration and insurance requirements.
  • Vendor Relations
  • Coordinate and manage office premises needs and repairs including Janitorial, HVAC, Mechanical and Electrical, and Alarm system, Vending Machine, Water service, Gardening, Utilities, office equipment and furniture and telephones. Also work with department supervisors securing, monitoring and authorizing lease and rental equipment contract agreements on and offsite. Audit and approve the monthly invoices.
  • Client Insurance Certificates
  • Coordinate the issuance of insurance certificates for all new client projects through our company insurance broker and maintain insurance files and updated lists.

requirements

  • Understanding of healthcare insurance benefits.
  • Bookkeeping or accounting experience, record-keeping experience, highly organized, excellent communication skills who enjoys working as a team player.
  • A motivated self-starter who needs no supervision and demonstrates the ability to take on tasks and follow through to completion.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook.
