Job Posting for Service Advisor/Customer Service at Gordy's Marine
Gordy’s Lakefront Marine is looking for a Full-time, year-round, Service Advisor to help lead one of the top Boat Service Departments in North America. We are looking for someone who has strong communication skills and great customer service. This person must be committed to consistently delivering exceptional customer service and developing customer relationships for the long term. The Service Advisor must not only be able achieve results, but also committed to doing it the “Gordy's Way”, by always living the company values and culture, which is built on hard work, integrity, teamwork, and having a positive attitude.
Scope and Responsibility:
Primary Responsibilities
Customer Service Writing – you are a point person and contact for all Gordy’s customers service needs.
Goal to create work orders, document all customer requests, and add to master schedule (for boats coming in/going out for service).
Assist Haul and Launch with day-to-day responsibilities, scheduling, closing launch monitor, and contacting customers.
Be efficient and timely in getting customer approval for all service work.
Up selling customers on recommended maintenance, cleaning, parts/accessories, etc.
Operations
Ensure proper and timely billing/collecting payment of all completed service work.
Learn our customer’s names, boats, etc. to better understand their service needs/wants.
Work with Shop Foreman, Movement Manager, and H&L Manager to schedule boat moment needs for customers, sublet, etc.
Work with AR clerk on customer payment process.
Be willing to attend customer events and/or boat shows.
Skills and Abilities
Computer skills – Microsoft Office
Marina and boating knowledge preferred.
Service writing/scheduling experience preferred.
Mytaskit/DockMaster experience preferred
