What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Inventory Associate position at Gordy's?
Gordy’s Lakefront Marine is looking for a Parts Inventory Management Associate to help lead one of the top Service Departments in North America. We are looking for someone who is organized, solution minded, problem solver, good team player, and is driven to hit department goals and objectives. This person must be committed to consistently delivering exceptional customer service, to which the company has built its reputation on.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide parts lookup, quotes, availability, and shipping information
§ Maintain proper stock levels on necessary parts and assign/update stock locations
§ Document all parts properly on the work orders for billing
- Properly tag all warranty parts- ship parts back for warranty review with proper documentation
- Pull parts for retail customers, technicians, and work order requests
§ Communicate delays and order status with internal and external customers
§ Use current accessory catalogs and websites as needed to find and quote parts
§ Properly Receive/Transfer/monitor inventory levels
§ Follow up on customer special order status
§ Generate revenue through sales of parts & accessories
§ Maintain a neat and clean work area
§ Perform yearly inventory, as well as quality checks for inventory accuracy
Operations:
· Work with other Gordy’s parts associates to maintain a functional parts department
· Work with Gordy’s Service Advisors to accurately order parts in a timely manor
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to safely lift 40lbs
· Ability to climb a step ladder in stock room
· Standing for extended periods of time
Skills and Abilities:
§ Experience with inventory management preferred
§ Experience with Dockmaster preferred
§ Experience with parts lookup software preferred
§ Attention to detail, solution minded, prioritization necessary
§ Experience in the marine industry preferred
