The Role
Gorilla Commerce is seeking a hard-working, personable, open to learning, collaborative, and positive attitude individual. In this role you work closely with the quality assurance team, including testing engineers, inspectors, packaging engineers, and US regulatory and compliance, to help bring our products and brands to life and drive revenue and positive consumer reviews.
This role will report directly to the US Product Safety & Compliance Senior Manager. The individual will provide daily support for projects and team members who work to ensure that all Gorilla products are safe and compliant. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in a business support role and/or experience working in a product focused business setting.

What You’ll Do
- Responsible for maintaining the GC Product Compliance process and standards which includes ensuring records are maintained and up to date.
- Work closely with the product development team to mitigate risk by providing guidance on compliance and testing needs (if needed) on new product initiatives
- Collaborate with other cross-functional teams and outside service providers (Quality Assurance, PD, Sourcing, Vendors, Third-Party)
- Evaluate samples, lab reports, and inspection reports; communicate results and recommended actions
- Review and approve various product labeling and packaging content.
- Provide testing guidance and direction for product and marketing claims
- Assess and conduct risk assessments
- Update trackers and Monday.com daily.
- Monitor and run various product recall and other regulatory reports from various sources monthly.
- Track Product Safety Issues, review tracker reports and record issues and other safety concerns for review by Leaders
- Research and monitor new compliance regulations such as PFAS
- Maintain files of regulatory compliance documents for all of Gorilla Commerce Products
- Attend industry webinars and conferences to ensure we remain well educated and informed on various regulatory compliance and product safety trends
- Adhere to Gorilla Commerce and industry quality and safety standards
- Regular support for Product Safety & Compliance Leader who oversees the Gorilla Product Compliance Program (Testing & Inspections).
- Other projects and functions as assigned by QA Leaders
- Excellent English oral and written skills necessary
- 2-5 years experience working in product safety, compliance, quality assurance, and product development for consumer goods, preferably hardlines.
- Must be familiar with CPSC, FDA, California Proposition 65, and other regulatory requirements on both US Federal and US State Level. Canada, Mexico & International a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a service approach
- The ideal individual must have proven ability to achieve results in a fast-paced environment and is energized by constant change.
- Excellent data & analytical skills and a strong detail focus
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills; must have an ability to manage deadlines as needed.
- Eager to learn and willing to go above and beyond
- Problem Solver with a collaborative solution based outcome; Out of the box thinker
- Working knowledge of PowerPoint and Word are necessary with a more advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work in web-based, data-management, workflow, and communication platforms like Monday.com is a plus.
