Job Posting for Construction Project Coordinator at GOSH
Overview
Help support the project manager/director of construction with the growth plan. Coordinate activities for designated hospitality projects to ensure that the goals and objectives are accomplished “on time and on budget”.
Responsibilities
Vendors management, communication, and building relationships. Provide weekly reports and updates.
Define and help manage the scope of work, maintain/support budget, schedule, and appropriate deliverables.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, Operations etc.
Obtain permits, approvals, licenses, and other regulatory prerequisites.
Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budget.
Support project manager and/or director of construction schedule with general contractors, vendors and milestone targets.
Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports.
Ensure adherence to all construction, health and safety standards and report issues
Collaborate and communicate with the project manager, director of construction, stakeholder team to help support development work parameters, timelines, milestones, budgets, including organizing meetings as needed with operations team, tenant coordinators, architects, engineers, General Contractors (GC) and city or building officials to ensure defined results.
Report weekly, the status of all projects in a weekly cross functional meeting and periodically update the Smartsheet.
Respond to requests for information from general contractors or third-party vendors to obtain information needed to create, for example, a crop sheet for graphics or review millwork field dimensions with GC or marketing.
Work closely with other departments to ensure all required orders are placed, for example, POS systems, equipment orders, small wares, Coke, Tea, signage, furniture, facilities, etc.
Coordinate with the GC on rough/ final inspections to obtain the CO and Health approvals with maintaining GCs schedule turnover dates and milestones. Rough and/or final site visits are required on each site progress.
Support and schedule/coordinate health inspections with operation team.
Coordinate the site visit final punch walk through with general contractor and Operations teams. Monitor the punch list items until completed.
Work with Facilities, Training and Operations to ensure a smooth transition from construction to training through Opening.
Follow up to ensure that all final GC lien waivers and tenant allowance close out documentation is complete and handed over to accounting and landlord for reimbursement.
Qualifications
5 years of Design and/or Construction Management Experience.
5 years of QSR/Casual Dining Restaurant Experience.
Proven project management experience preferred.
PMP or equivalent certification, preferred.
Willingness to travel to job sites as needed, approximately 30% of the time.
