Director Of Nursing Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operations of the Nursing Department
- Ensure the department adheres to all laws, regulations, and organizational standards
- Maintain a physical, social, and psychological environment that promotes health and well-being
- Proactively anticipate and respond to the needs of residents, staff, and the facility
- Guide clinical matters, overseeing training, education, and effective clinical practices
- Current RN license in the State of New York
- Supervisory/management experience in long-term care
- Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid rules and regulations
- Strong business and financial management skills
- Ability to set and achieve relevant and challenging goals for oneself and the team
- Dedication to continuous coaching, training, and development of a quality nursing team
