What are the responsibilities and job description for the Insurance adjuster position at Gpac?
We are seeking an experienced Senior Claims Adjuster to lead a team of adjusters handling a high volume of casualty insurance claims.
Responsibilities :
- Handle direct oversight and adjustment of high exposure liability and property claims
- Investigate coverage and compensation factors to establish basis for claims payment
- Determine if claims are eligible for payment based on terms of insurance policy
- Negotiate claim settlements and approve payments within designated authority levels
- Identify fraudulent claims and refer for further investigation
- Collaborate with management on operational initiatives, process improvements
Requirements :
- Experience in adjusting public sector claims
- Outstanding analytical thinking and complex problem-solving skills
- In-depth knowledge of property / casualty insurance policies and coverages
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage heavy caseload and make timely decisions under pressure
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Proficiency in insurance claims software and Microsoft Office
