Job Description

Seeking a registered Municipal Professional Engineer to join the team! This individual will be critical in the planning and designing of civil and/or land development projects within Public and Private sectors.

Responsibilities:

• Direct/design planning, calculation, and preparations for engineering documentation - this will include details, equipment schedules and cost estimates for projects, and selection and application of engineering systems as well as materials - in accordance with current governance codes

• Preparing and monitoring project budgets for small-scale projects with less complexity

• Responsibility for project schedules and timely completion of projects/project tasks

• Preparation of funding applications and preliminary engineer reports

• Assisting with construction bids or negotiations, including pre-bid conferences, interpretations, and post-bid evaluations and contract preparations

• Oversight of work-in-progress and monitoring of outstanding accounts receivable

• Stamping or sealing work prepared by self or by one under this individual’s direct supervision

• Participation in pro-project presentations, interviews and pre-construction meetings

• Oversight of project personnel in all assigned projects

• Establishing and maintaining cordial, professional working relations with both clients and contractors, and attending client meetings

• Travel as required for project or client meetings, or to construction sites

• Other duties as assigned/required

Minimum Qualifications Required To Apply:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role

• BS degree in Civil Engineering or another closely related field

• Registered Professional Engineer in the state of Minnesota, or the ability to obtain registration within 6 months

• Knowledge of financing programs available/utilized in ND and MN is preferred, not required

• Complete, thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of engineering

• Ability to prepare engineering records and write concise technical reports

• Ability to multitask, and manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Must have a valid drivers license with clean driving record - individual must be insurable
