Position Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance and Safety Advocacy:
- Define and implement actions to ensure facility and processing equipment compliance with FDA, OSHA, and EPA regulations.
- Participate actively in the Food Safety/HACCP Team and Crisis Management Team.
- Define project requirements for external equipment and facility contractors to ensure seamless operations.
- Establish operating parameters for the Preventive Maintenance program, contributing to the longevity of equipment.
- Manage an inventory of critical equipment parts to assure operational efficiency and profitability.
- Take charge of purchasing functions for equipment and facility maintenance.
Information Technology and Professional Development:
- Act as the point person for computer and Information Technology systems.
- Stay ahead in the field by maintaining professional and technical knowledge through workshops, supplier meetings, and personal technical networks.
Education/Experience/Capabilities Requirements:
Qualifications:
- 10 years’ experience in the food industry, with a strong supervisory background.
Communication and Management Skills:
- Must possess excellent communication and management skills to lead and inspire the team towards operational excellence.
