Job Description:
Are you a dedicated and compassionate attorney with experience in personal injury law? Our established law firm is seeking a skilled Personal Injury Associate Attorney to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to represent clients in personal injury cases, and we are particularly interested in candidates who are licensed to practice law in Missouri and preferably in Kansas as well.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of personal injury cases, from initial client contact to settlement or trial.
- Conduct thorough legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and legal documents.
- Provide legal counsel to clients on personal injury matters and legal options.
- Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel.
- Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and trials when necessary.
- Collaborate with clients, medical experts, and colleagues to build strong cases.
- Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.
- Stay updated with developments in personal injury laws and regulations.
- Mentor and assist junior associates and legal support staff.
Qualifications:
- Admission to the Missouri bar is required; admission to the Kansas bar is preferred.
- 2 years of experience practicing personal injury law.
- Strong understanding of personal injury laws, regulations, and case strategies.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
