Responsibilities:
- Perform general accounting functions and monthly Bank Reconciliations.
- Review tenant leases and billings.
- Create and maintain monthly reports for each designated property within portfolio
- Monitor and assure payment of real estate tax assessments and bills.
- Perform quarterly audits
- Verify documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes.
- Debit, credit, and total accounts on computer spreadsheets and databases, using specialized accounting software.
- Classify, record, and summarize financial data for accurate bookkeeping,
- Compile statistical, financial, accounting or auditing reports and tables pertaining to cash. receipts, expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, and profits and losses.
- Code and/or confirm coded documents according to company procedures.
- Receive and record checks and bank wires.
- Monitor and pay Annual Report and Business License Fees to various states.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (Preferred)
- 3-years of accounting experience (Preferred)
- Property Management or Commercial Real Estate background (Preferred)
- Familiarity with Commercial Real Estate Property Accounting is a plus
- Understanding of property management in relation to financial accounting, recoveries, budgeting, and forecasting
- Proficient with accounting or bookkeeping software
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent communicator; team oriented with a passion for learning and contributing
- Strong organization and problem-solving skills
