Registered Nurse Observation - Clinical Observation - Hiring immediately!

Our client is urgently seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join their Observation. This role is based in a level III trauma center renowned for its specialized services in cardiac care, women’s health, maternity, robotic surgery, and orthopedics. The center is nationally recognized for its outstanding stroke care and actively promotes patient and family involvement through a partners in caring program.

Unit Information:

• The Observation service line offers a fast-paced environment with a diverse patient population and a variety of diagnoses.
• Observation is an outpatient designation focused on continued testing and treatment to determine admission and discharge needs.
• Strong charting skills are essential for this unit.
• While floating to other inpatient units (med/surg, PCU) may be required, floating to the ED is not.
• Patient population includes Cardiac Drips, CHF, Strokes, post-cath care, and more, primarily from the geriatric population.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum requirement: 1 year RN experience, with med/surg tele experience at minimum, acute within the last year.
• Preferred: Observation experience, PCU/Tele, ED experience.
• Cross Training Opportunities: med/surg for suitable candidates, ED (No ICU, PCU needs to be comfortable with change of pace).
• Certifications required: BLS required, ACLS required within 6 months.
• Education requirements: BSN or ADN.

Number of positions: Various shifts available, both day and night.

Shift Schedule: 12 hours.

Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend.

Self-Scheduling: Yes.
