Janitorial Worker

We are looking for two afternoon/evening cleaning technicians to join our team at GR Select Services!

Location: Fedex - 2290 S Canal Rd, Lansing, MI 48917

Hours: 5pm-9pm

Days: Monday-Friday

Rate: $15.50 per hour

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining buildings/facilities in clean and orderly condition. Performing cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, vents, walls and glass, and removing rubbish.

DUTIES AND RESONSABILITIES

· Follows scope of work and procedures as documented.

· Cleans, stocks and supplies designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc.).

· Empties wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to corresponding disposal areas (i.e. Recycle bins).

· Delivers exceptional building level cleaning services and quality within GR Select or customer SOW.

· Adheres to all policies and procedures including dress code, phone usage, safety, etc.

· Performs and documents routine inspection before leaving facility. Keep track of hours/budget provided by Manager.

· Orders and maintains stock levels of supplies.

· Assists Customer with special requests or emergency clean ups.

· Works with the Management team to identify opportunities to enhance building cleanliness and efficiency.

· Completes all required paperwork accurately and legibly in a timely manner. (Cleaning checklist, time sheets, supply order, Sign Offs etc.)

· Sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors, using brooms, mops, or powered scrubbing and waxing machines.

· All other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS, ETC.):

· High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.

· At least one year of previous commercial cleaning experience, preferred.

· Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

· Time Management

WORKING CONDITIONS

· Able to work at a variety of locations.

· Potential exposure to blood borne pathogens and other infectious diseases

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· Adjusting, lifting, pushing, or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.

· Bending, stopping, twisting, kneeling, and shifting.

· Repeating motions that may include the wrist, hands and/or fingers.

· Standing and walking for extensive period of time.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.50 per hour
