Human Resources Manager

Reports to: Executive Pastor & Elder Board

Department: Admin & Leadership

Status:  Part Time 15-20 hours per week

WHO WE ARE:

Our mission at gracespring is to help people take a step closer to Jesus. We believe this happens by BELONGING in real relationships. We encourage you to consider joining a group where you can be known and loved. In obedience to God's word, we believe that when we meet together in teaching and worship we GROW in our Christian walk and we become more like Jesus. We also believe it is important that we REACH out into our community around us with the good news of the gospel and regularly support several ministries in our community and around the globe.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

We’re looking for a person who loves Jesus and His people. Our ideal candidate is a skilled and strong communicator who values being a team player and seeks to understand first. This person must be self-directed, organized, and able to execute the tactical day-to-day items that come with HR in ministry. We’re looking for someone who is a creative problem solver, and a leader by influence.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

The HR Manager is responsible for helping everyone take a step closer to Jesus through providing both leadership and tactical execution to the human resource needs of gracespring’s staff. The role serves with dual reporting. For most of the day-to-day, the HR Manager works with the Executive Pastor to foster healthy staff culture, resolve problems, update and implement policy, and care for the needs and well-being of staff. This includes job performance matters, relational matters, and issues material to employment.  The role also has a direct line of report to the Elder Team to assist their responsibility of high-level oversight of staff and organizational culture.

MUST HAVES FOR THIS POSITION:

  • College Degree (Human Resources or related major is preferred)
  • 5 years experience in Human Resources
  • Proficiency in Excel, GoogleSuites, HRIS, comfortable with software tools for HR/payroll
  • A personal and growing relationship with the Lord.

JUST FOR FUN:

Our staff team is a group of people who love to have fun. Games, laughter, and inside jokes are something you’ll find on our team. We get together every week to share wins for Jesus and worship together, and we like to eat really good food. We care for the person before the task, and you’ll feel that in everything we do.

WORK PERKS:

When you join the gracespring team, you join a group of people who are passionate about God, enjoy working together, laugh and pray with each other, and love Taco Tuesday lunch. The biggest perk to working at gracespring is doing work that makes an eternal difference, and there are a lot of other perks as well:

  • Generous holiday breaks.  We love holidays - so let's all enjoy time with the family & friends
  • Flexible hours. Most days, we work together in the office.  But you and your supervisor may work out some flexibility to that schedule.
  • Flexible working environment.  Need a desk?  Want to sit on the floor?  Work in the main office? Take your laptop and sit on a couch? You can move around and work throughout the church!
  • Professional development funds - What?  Yep.  We want you to keep growing, learning and having fun in your job, so we’ll give you some extra money to do that.
  • New staff gear $ - Who doesn't love some good swag?
  • Retirement match
  • Paid vacation and sick time off

STAFF VALUES:

  • Dependence - We recognize that we must depend on the Lord and not ourselves.
  • Humility - We realize we don’t have all the answers.
  • Integrity - We do what we say we are going to do.
  • Nurture - We care for the person more than the task
  • Laughter - We love to not only work hard, but play hard.
  • Empowerment - We work hard to train, equip, and mobilize our people.
  • Teamwork - We value collaboration and unity and are committed to the success of each other’s ministry
