You Will:Reporting to the Regional Metalworking Manager, you will:
- Understand customer goals and be responsive to changing customer needs.
- Demonstrate knowledge of market data and access to resources to quickly respond to --new developments in the customer's business.
- Educate customers on changing market trends and technology and impact to their business.
- Expand customer understanding and use of Grainger's standard product and service capabilities.
- Demonstrate appropriate knowledge of the customers' products and services to create business strategies to improve revenue..
- Establish customer and market priorities to implement a strategic course of action to accomplish goals.
- Develop and implement account reach strategies to include regular business reviews for main customers to maximize sales.
- Leverage available resources including internal Grainger teams and manufacturers to support solutions for customers.
- Document and understand impact of customer-focused activities to increase productivity and sales including documenting value within assigned customers.
- Bachelor's degree (BSE) or the equivalent work experience is required.
- 5 years cutting tool and machine tool manufacturer or distribution experience.
- Previous field sales experience with cutting tools and machine tools.
- Knowledge of major machine tool and cutting tool brands and applications, and the ability to distinguish market offers and capabilities.
- Demonstrated understanding of CNC operations including turning, drilling, and milling
- Demonstrated understanding of the aspects of metal cutting including speeds and feeds, materials, tool types is required.
- Basic CNC programming knowledge.
This position is salaried and will pay between $71,800. and $107,700 for base salary plus generous uncapped commission.
