You will perform the daily operation of payroll and ensure the accurate processing of payments to employees. You will process US weekly and bi-weekly payroll in SAP, Canada bi-weekly payroll with our third-party vendor ADP. Additionally, you will perform all payroll related activities including audits, reports and resolving issues.
- Prepare and process US multi-state weekly and bi-weekly payroll for an excess of 17K team members using SAP
- Process the daily tasks for Canada bi-weekly payroll outsourced to ADP
- Process On-Demand payrolls (e.g. terminations, stock transactions, bonus)
- Partner with Payroll Vendor (ADP) around wage garnishment execution
- Complete pre/post payroll audits and reporting to ensure accurate payroll processing
- Resolve payroll issues by collecting, analyzing information, and following through with resolution
- Support outsourced vendors to ensure compliance with processes, legal requirements, and service expectations
- Improve/automation to processes and technology
- Partner with HR, IT, Accounting, Legal and other functions to ensure appropriate flow of data
- Help with department goals and promote a synergetic team environment
- Collaborate, consult, and partner with all levels in a team environment
- Handle confidential information and work independently
- Experience with US multi-state payroll laws and practices
- General knowledge of Canada Payroll regulations and practices
- Understanding of applicable US federal, state, and local rules and laws
- Experience with SAP, ADP WFN, and Kronos
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams)
