What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook - Ben Franklin Elementary position at Grand Forks?

Terms of Employment: Nine (9) months (August - May)
Hours/days: Working 5 hours per day, between 6:00am to 2:00 pm, working 25 hours/wk, Monday - Friday. This is a non-benefited position.
Education: High School Diploma or High School Equivalency.
Qualifications: Positive human relations skills. Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Job Goal: Providing customer service, develop food preparation and production skills.
Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Preparation and serving meals to students according to established methods and procedures
- Maintain high standards of food preparation and service with emphasis on menu appeal and maximum nutritional value
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and safety.
- Other duties as assigned.
Work Environment and Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will need to consistently engage in walking and standing; occasionally walk and stand. The ability to hear and see in order to communicate effectively as well as communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; Maintain effective audio/visual discrimination and perception to the degree necessary for the successful performance of assigned duties; The physical capability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds; Maintain mental capacity, allowing for effective interaction and communication with others.
Terms of Employment: Nine (9) months (academic school year of the students enrolled).
Hours/days: Could potentially start at 6:30am and work no later than 2:00pm.
Minimum of 4 hrs. and a maximum of 8 hrs / day. Hours vary with each opening.
Evaluation: Annual written evaluation by the Supervisor.
