What are the responsibilities and job description for the Country Club Bartender position at Grand Harbor?
Grand Harbor Country Club is hiring for a full time, or part time Bartender. The Bartender will greet members in a friendly manner and prepare any requested beverages for the membership while servicing the dining room through the servers drink request. Bartender is required to stock beer, wine, liquor, and mixers. Maintain a clean and orderly bar and assists in beverage inventory as needed. Follow all Florida state liquor laws and ensure that age limits are maintained.
DUTIES
- Possess knowledge of beer, wine, liquor, and associated combinations.
- Must always be on duty behind bar except when delivering a drink order unless seeking proper permission from dining room manager.
- Mix and serve alcoholic beverages to order, making appropriate charge to member’s account, and insuring member signs ticket before they leave.
- Become familiar with members and address them by sur name.
- Assist with maintenance of all equipment and coolers.
- Maintain bar in clean condition and re-stock after every shift.
- Prepare drinks for server, or serves drinks to members directly.
- Stock bars and serve private parties from service bars through out club
- Maintain proper levels of wine, beer and liquor to insure that the club never runs out of merchandise.
- Serve members dinner when practical and necessary.
- Assist in taking bar inventory when needed.
- Possess full knowledge of club wine lists and house wines.
- Prepare and garnish mixed drinks prepared for members.
- Notify manager immediately about guest consumption concerns.
- Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Position requires the ability to perform complex tasks to include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 100 pounds occasionally. Must be able to stand, walk, push, pull, reach for, and carry bar and dining room related items.
