What are the responsibilities and job description for the Spa Massage Therapist (PT Seasonal) position at Grand Traverse Resort and Spa?
SUMMARY
To ensure that all GTRS policies and procedures are followed by entire Spa team. To provide our guests with memorable and exceptional spa experiences, to educate spa team members in regards to all spa services, and ensure that necessary par levels are maintained in all areas of spa inventories.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Must have an ability to listen attentively to gather accurate information and use that information to enhance customer satisfaction.
Maintain accurate and consistent par levels for all necessary supplies for all areas within the Spa.
Assist with end of month inventories.
Perform all types of body massage treatments available in Spa.
Maintenance and cleanliness of the Spa including spot cleaning and communicating jobs to housekeeping when necessary, and filling Engineering work orders to keep all aspects of Spa running efficiently.
Adhering to strategies, which ensure guest retention, co-worker productivity, average ticket sales, and successful retailing.
Maintain a guest/member viewpoint when dealing with requests and complaints.
Must be able to assist in all areas of the spa when needed.
Must be willing to educate the guest in the area of health enhancement and wellness and sell related retail products.
Know the name, purpose, benefit, procedure and cost of every product sold in the Spa.
Covering all hours determined by schedule.
Report all guest/member complaints or suggestions immediately to Spa Management.
Keep up to date on department correspondence.
Maintain assigned station and equipment in working order.
Know all pricing and service policies of Spa.
Display confidence and professionalism at all times.
Completes necessary paperwork for each scheduled session.
Voluntarily attends departmental meetings.
Inventories supplies as needed.
Refers guest problems or complaints to supervisor for problem resolution
Good rapport with fellow employees & supervisors, and reflect positive attitude.
Complete all assignments requested of you.
Must follow proper grooming and dress standards set forth by the Employee Handbook.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Formal training in Massage from an accredited learning institution.
State of Michigan Massage Therapy License

COMMENTS
Native American Preference will apply. Must be able to pass a background investigation and an Oral Drug Screen as a condition of employment. Must be able to work flexible hours and take on additional responsibilities when asked. Must adhere to company policies regarding strict confidentiality.
