- Licensed Practical Nurse functions under supervision of RN Team Leader and performs delegated tasks, serving as a care partner to RN/Team Leader.
- Tasks performed are in compliance with department and hospital policies and procedures and within education preparation as well as Alabama Nurse Practice Act.
- Participates in the implementation and evaluation of patient care.
- Ensures the health, comfort and safety of patients.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and perform a variety of tasks.
- High school diploma and certification as a licensed practical nurse.
- Associates degree in Nursing and basic life support required.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
