Granite Bay Care, Inc. (GBC) is a multi-state human service agency providing intensive clinical, nursing, residential, and community-based support services to adults with cognitive, intellectual, mental health, and physical disabilities.
GBC currently provides residential care in over 80 homes in Maine. Each home is designed to serve the unique needs of the clients who live there. A holistic approach is used by clinical professionals, management, and staff to encourage each to reach their full potential. Granite Bay Care employs over 500 professionals in a dynamic, multi-cultural setting. We currently are the largest residential agency in Maine and are committed to a standard of excellence.
We are currently seeking a full-time Program Manager to be responsible for ensuring their assigned programs maintain compliance with regard to staffing, client needs and supports, state and federal regulations, GBC policy and procedure, staff relations, standards of cleanliness and orderliness etc.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate mandated reporting compliance efforts by collecting reportable event documentation.
- Ensures that support staff are completing accurate, timely and thorough documentation.
- Routinely provides feedback and training to staff on quality of documentation and record keeping compliance as a part of the agency’s overall Quality Assurance efforts.
- Initiates and fosters ongoing communication with all members of the clients’ team to ensure a collaborative relationship.
- Oversees program schedule by working with the HM or team leader (TL) to ensure adequate coverage at all times, keeping within budgeted hours and approved staffing ratios.
- Prepare and facilitate person-centered planning (PCP) and planning meetings to ensure GBC accountability to PCP team
- Collaborates with the Clinical team regarding behavior management plans as needed. Assures all direct support staff are properly trained to implement the behavior plan(s).
- Schedule and participate in routine and specialized program-based DSP training.
- Conduct ongoing supervision and resolve any and all emerging concerns and performance issues.
- Implement and sustain routine monitoring of all program operations, safety and security systems through onsite program visits during and after regular office hours using the program checklist as a guide.
- Ensure GBC standards of cleanliness and orderliness within all programs.
- Regularly audits care tracker documentation and payroll records for discrepancies and compliance.
- Ensures timely receipt of all reconciled financial transaction sheets, fire drills, program checklists, etc.
- Actively participates in GBC meetings, community and company relations, such as client functions, clinical and operations meetings, etc.
- On-call Supervisory Responsibilities as part of 24/7 rotating on-call schedule.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
- One (1) year of relevant experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Safe and reliable automobile.
- Active automobile insurance policy.
- Successful completion and maintenance of all required training provided by GBC.
- Strong ethical and moral character.
- Demonstrated ability to be firm in principle and flexible in application; evidenced capacity to provide compassionate care to marginalized populations; commitment to independent living, community inclusion, and full participation for all citizens with cognitive and physical disabilities and/or mental illness;
- Must have proven time management skills which support productivity and efficiency.
- Must be reliable and dependable.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have experience using computers, be comfortable learning and applying new technology, competent in conducting research through internet search engines, etc.

Salary: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
