Summary/Objective

The Marketing Manager position is a key leader of the GCE Marketing team and is responsible for supporting the relationships with our primary manufacturer partners, creating and managing marketing and sales events & promotions, as well as overseeing co-op and training programs. In addition, you will lead our promotional product initiatives and support all branch sales activity. This work will include leadership of event activation teams, marketing team deployment, and coordination with sales and operations for programs throughout New England. You will orchestrate new product launches, customer learning, corporate communications, and vendor visibility programs, while working cross-functionally with members of the digital team, senior leadership, sales, key vendors, and other departments to help develop and ensure best in class communication materials. You will also work closely with our Graphic Designer and eCommerce Director to develop and maintain brand and messaging continuity.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for managing our Champion Vendor relationship program.
- Solicit, manage, and track all vendor coop programs.
- Develop and manage team execution of sales promotions and pricing specials.
- Responsible for channel specific marketing programs which may include Showroom and other marketplace growth initiatives.
- Create, manage, and prioritize Marketing projects.
- Lead cross-functional team to plan and execute weekly and monthly targeted product specials.
- Responsible for vendor reports.
- Will contribute to various communication & PR materials including the internal Marketing calendar of events.
- Develop and evaluate media advertising relationships.
- Work with Digital team and support agencies to translate messaging for multi-platform media programs.
- Lead and assist trade show preparation and execution.
- Work with leadership to improve efficiency and program quality of Marketing team.
- Create and evaluate project and departmental budgets.
- Perform other related marketing duties and assignments as required.
Position Requirements
- Understanding of manufacturing and distribution channel sales model.
- Professional experience in the business-to-business (B2B) marketplace, with business-to-consumer (B2C) retail experience a plus.
- Demonstrated ability of managing multi-tier, multi-media, revenue generating partner programs.
- Ability to create, manage, execute, track and evaluate sales growth programs.
- Experience planning and executing on-site events, including all aspects of partner and vendor negotiations.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams such as operations, marketing, finance, and sales.
- Experience with MS Office, and integrating Marketing Automation and/or CRM into process workflow a must. HubSpot experience a plus.

Work Environment
This job operates in a clerical, distribution office/showroom setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and digital cameras.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is an hourly, full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
This is largely a stationary role, but involves climbing stairs in many of our branch locations; however, some material management is required. This would require the ability to lift light boxes and materials, open filing cabinets, and setting-up photographic equipment as necessary. The employee may be required to sit for long periods of time, but will also be expected to do on-site/field work such as photo shoots, tradeshows and meetings.
Travel
- Some regional travel will be required @25%
Education and Experience
- Bachelor/Associate degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
- Over 7 years’ work experience in a business, agency, distribution, or similar environment.
- Experience with MS Office and CRM.
- Experience with event planning, social media, eCommerce, and marketing automation.
