Manager on Duty

The Granite YMCA is currently seeking a Manager on Duty to add to our friendly, dynamic and welcoming Membership Team. The Manager on Duty maintains a supportive, positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals, promotes the potential of all, and provides quality experience for the community.  This position provides supervision and support to staff throughout the facility. The Manager on Duty will be the main point of contact for issues and/or emergencies when key leadership is not on site. Member engagement, problem solving, and safety are key for this position. Primary Responsibilities:Focus on quality experiences and engagement within programs, services, and activities Resolves problems to ensure member/employee satisfaction Assist in developing, reviewing, and revising policies and procedures as deemed necessary in collaboration with leadership team Cover for other managers on duty when needed  Completes opening/closing operations based on schedule Leader in handling conflict, concerns, member frustrations, and unusual facility situations Effectively coordinate facility usage for assigned programs and activitiesServe as an active participant in branch leadership and department meetings Minimum Qualifications:3 years or more customer service experience and/or leading teams Preferably 2 or more years of Y employmentAt least 1 year of supervisory Experience Possess strong interpersonal communication skills Current CPR/AED/O2/First Aid certification (or within 30 days of hire)   Current Pool Operations Certification (or within 90 days of hire)Previous experience with diverse populations Ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds  This is a full-time hourly position with benefits includingCaring Employee CultureCareer Growth & Leadership DevelopmentMedical and Dental InsuranceFree 2 Adult Family YMCA Membership8% employer contribution to retirement fund50% discount on Childcare and Camp servicesDiscounts on Y Programs for yourself & family membersDiscounted tuition to UNH Manchester, Granite State College & SNHUGenerous paid time off – starting with 21 days and 6 holidays, accruing more with tenurePay Range: $15 - $17/hour
