Summary/Objective
The HR Consultant is responsible for performing advanced, specialized and administrative duties for various clients. Depending on the HR engagement, responsibilities could change as well as the duration. A majority of the role will be located at the client(s) and travel will be required throughout the NY, NJ and PA area.
Essential Functions
- Various consulting engagements such as, being a day-to-day HR Generalist, handling I-9 audits, assessing HR staff and updating company handbooks etc.
- Work with upper management and recommend solutions regarding HR issues.
- Assist in interviewing/hiring of new staff.
- Advises management on the construction and administration of plans and policies for human resource activities.
- Develops, revises and implements HR policies and procedures.
- Ensures program or section area is in compliance with other established policies and procedures and with any relevant federal, state or local legislation.
- Assists in the planning and organizing of the assigned program or section area.
- Prepares and maintains special internal and external reports.
- Answers non-routine requests for information on policy interpretation.
- Assists with developing, coordinating and recommending changes for the improvement of workflow in the program or section area.
- Develops methods and procedures for compiling and analyzing data for reports and special projects.
- Conducts periodic audits of human resource activities to ensure compliance with laws, policies and procedures.

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.
- 4 years of professional-level experience in human resources.
