The Operations Manager supervises the operational and some of the administrative activities of the oilfield servicing within their region. This includes planning, allocation, coordination and control of the Company’s resources in such a way to establish and maintain a high standard of performance, customer satisfaction, and expanded market base causing a maximum contribution to Company profit which meets or exceeds established profit objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works with ethics, honesty, values and integrity. Provides a position of professionalism to others.
- Ensures all operations are conducted in a safe manner and that subordinates cultivate and maintain good safety awareness, attitudes and participation.
- Maintains acceptable cost levels with the planning and establishment of effective controls on operations, maintenance, repairs and other expenses.
- Develops and maintains an acceptable customer base and participates in marketing activities directed towards expansion of the same, which includes phone calls to customers and attending customer meetings.
- Develops improvements to operational systems, processes and best practices that guarantee organizational well-being.
- Contributes toward the achievement of the Company’s strategic and operational objectives.
- Examines financial data/statements and uses them to improve profitability.
- Develops strategies and tactics for resolving customer conflicts in a manner that not only reduces customer frustration but preserves company profitability.
- Hires and trains employees as required to ensure proper coverage and cross training. Creates opportunities for team members to learn, grow and expand their skills and experience.
- Sets goals and keeps performance on track to meet those goals.
- Fosters a positive working relationship with customers, vendors, and branch employees, as well as corporate staff.
- Completes all safety and equipment related training required on a monthly basis.
- Responsible for answering company issued cell phone during on call hours, in accordance with company and safety policies.
- Any other duty, responsibility or task as assigned by the supervisor.
Experience
Required
- Must have a valid Driver’s license.
- Three (3) or more years’ experience in oil field related position, with at least one (1) year prior managerial experience in oil field related business.
- Must be able to maintain insurability with Company insurance.
- Must be comfortable in an environment that is occasionally high stress.
- Ability to effectively delegate responsibilities.
- Must have excellent communication, organizational and time management skills.
- Requires a high familiarity with products and services the Company offers.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, clients and management.
Preferred
- BA/BSc in Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
