The Opportunity

Gravy Analytics is seeking a talented Data Analyst to join our growing Customer Operations & Sales Enablement Department primarily supporting sales, customer, and product operations requests. Successful candidates will be sharp, with a demonstrated ability to produce timely insights and analytics. The ideal candidate will be customer service oriented, innovative, open-minded to the solution set and driven to deliver solutions that meet or exceed requirements.

What You Will Do

• Pull data to support customer needs from internal proprietary platform and SnowFlake (SQL)
• Produce analysis and data products from our Geo-Signals Cloud and customer data, deriving unique insights and value from big data
• Support requests from our Sales, Marketing and Product teams for data and analytics products which support existing customers and prospective customers
• Collaborate with internal/external customers by asking the right questions and gathering requirements that will deliver the correct data to those customers.
• Participate in the QA process to ensure data output meets customer requirements
• Support data improvement and data quality efforts by highlighting and communicating data issues observed when producing data and analytics products
• Develop interactive data visualizations using Tableau in order to derive insights and support decision making efforts for the business
• Continuously Identify opportunities to improve customer success and operational effectiveness and efficiency
• Support the delivery of large data products and analytics to customers and prospects including configuring delivery jobs utilizing internal APIs (Postman REST client) and creating API Keys, supporting for API customers, and monitoring usage metrics

Skills & Experience

• 1-2 years SQL experience and understanding of relational database concepts
  
• Experience with data visualization tools
• You have strong experience with Microsoft Excel and analysis in general and are also versed in statistical analysis
• Strong communication skills. Possess the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently not just within the team, but across the organization. Willing to raise issues immediately and not being afraid to ask questions
• Prior work experience with a scripting language such as Python, R or Javascript is preferred
• Working experience with Linux/Unix command line
• Experience working in Cloud Computing is preferred (specifically AWS is a plus)
• Desire to constantly learn, ask questions, and grow your skill sets
• Demonstrated ability to work both on your own and in a team environment to effectively complete tasks with limited guidance
• Demonstrated attention to detail in following operational processes and documenting procedures and completion of tasks
• Demonstrated ability to analyze projects, develop tasks and analyze task requirements for completeness
• Ability to analyze data for QA purposes (data fulfills the requirements, analyzing trends, looking for anomalies and outliers, etc.)
• Demonstrated experience with production data: the ability to access data and use data extracts, construct and manipulate data sets of structured and unstructured data source
• Experience working in an agile-based methodology preferred
• Experience working with location data is a plus
• Experience with REST APIs is a plus

Compensation: The typical salary range for this role is $70,000 to $90,000. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, job level, internal equity and budget. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience and geographic location.
