Librarian: A professional librarian position, which assumes major responsibility for public service operations. Responsibilities include maintaining current technologies for ILS, CMS, and various contents, and providing information literacy instruction in various settings and technological formats of delivery.
The salary range for this position is $47,292.36 to $70,938.54 annually.

30% Contributes to the development of the Library's online presence as part of the library team. Develops, maintains, and troubleshoots information access tools such as web pages, social media, electronic pathways, software programs, databases, online tutorials, and LibGuides. Implements innovative technologies and learning services in a student-centered, collaborative environment. Knowledge of archival management practices.
20% Provides professional library instruction to include actively engaging with library patrons to identify needs and interests, analyzing patrons' requests and assist with furnishing, or locating appropriate resources. Embedded library instruction includes in-person classroom instruction as well as distance education instruction, through our LMS. Design and implement effective library instruction in a variety of formats and access capabilities.
20% Develop special programs, engagement activities, and instructional workshops that support library and college activities.
15% Instructs users on performing searches and use of the most effective resource and search technique for their research needs and interest level.
10% Responsible for daily interactions of service to include knowledge of federal, state, and accreditation policies for library services.
5% Performs other reasonable duties as needed or requested.

Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 1 year library experience. Academic library experience preferred.
Education: A Master's degree in Library Science or Information Science from an American Library Association Accredited Institution.
Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the college for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.
Other Skills: Knowledge and experience with emerging digital and instructional technologies along with innovative library trends and technologies to include web analytics, CMS, LMS, OCLC, RFID, and MARC, and have knowledge or willingness to learn coding languages. Experience with Canvas or other LMS systems.
Physical Requirements: The work requires minor physical exertion such as short periods of standing or walking, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities alternating with lighter activities.
Work Environment: Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a typical library.
This position requires three professional references. This position is considered a security sensitive position and will require a criminal background check.
