Responsibilities
Successful candidate will be responsible for providing senior level network and voice engineering support in a converged network infrastructure for a nationally Dental Provider organization. Candidate will provide senior level engineering leadership, troubleshooting and consulting. They must have a strong diverse technology background that can support and maintain (WAN/WLAN/LAN) a high performance network infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field preferred
- 5 years of infrastructure support and network operation related experience
- Strong hands-on experience supporting the Cisco platform, configuring routers, firewalls and switches, and troubleshooting networks
- Demonstrated ability with complex multi-site network troubleshooting, PIX/ASA, multi-layered switch environment and VPN technologies
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP and routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, RIP)
- Understanding of AAA, SNMP, NTP, DNS, DHCP, and wireless services
- Proven implementation and understanding of current WAN topologies (MPLS, Frame Relay, etc.)
- Proficient with Telecom and PSTN technologies (date and voice, DS-1, DS-3, ISDN/PRI, etc.)
- Working understanding of Cisco Unified Communications (VoIP, ACD, PBX, call routing, etc.) and Microsoft technologies (AD, Exchange, SharePoint, domain controller, etc.)
- Good writing skills and able to document processes, user guides, and update network drawings as required
- Self starter with ability to prioritize, and work well under pressure
- Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor
- The ability to work well in a team environment or independently with minimum supervision
- Strong technical and problem solving skills
- Able to be rotate off hours and weekend support on a rotation schedule
Desired requirements:
- Posses current Cisco certification (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE)
- 5 Years of networking experience with national MPLS
- Ipsec \ security experience.
