Journeyman Electrician 1st Shift - Ellsworth, KS
Great Plains Manufacturing is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to join our team at our facility in Ellsworth, KS.
This position works Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Fridays, as required.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Repairing critical equipment, performing preventive and predictive maintenance
- Willing to learn and/or work on mechanical/electrical hardware CNC and PLC troubleshooting
- Must demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills
- Maintains equipment logs on assigned equipment, recording pertinent information about downtime and maintenance problems
- Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and perform repairs
- Ability to perform electronic repairs used in electrical and mechanical maintenance technician work assignments
- Provide leadership to ensure all safety and environmental procedures are maintained
- Help with scheduling down time for machine repairs or preventive maintenance
- Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed PPE as required.
- Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.
Qualifications:
- Must possess an electrical license
- Minimum of 2 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred
- Excellent verbal/written communication and computer skills preferred
- Provide tools for the trade
