• Pharmacy Technician Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
• Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
• Must be Bilingual (English and Spanish)

Full Job Description

• Assists the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy.
• Stays in accordance with state and federal regulations and also Company policies and procedures.
• Assists in ordering of medications, unpacking, checking and placing received medications into stock
• Checks and rotates pharmacy stock for expiring/expired products and removes them from the shelves, and places in designated area for returns processing.
• Performs duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist including utilizing pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, ensuring information is entered correctly, filling prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring pharmaceutical drugs.
• Assists pharmacists in maintaining work flow.
• Reports, immediately, prescription errors to pharmacist on duty and adheres to Company policies and procedures in relation to pharmacy errors.
• Handles telephone calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist.
• Assists with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring the Pharmacy is stocked with adequate supplies, clean, neat and orderly in condition and appearance
• Perform all the pharmacy operation duties assigned by pharmacy manager and pharmacist in charge.

Required skills and professional competencies

• Pharmacy technician license, active and in good standing. Must maintain board certification and acquire all necessary continuing education credits.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D
• Excellent communication skills are a must, both verbal and written
• Digital Rx software knowledge preferred, but not required.
