Administrative Assistant, Commitment to Opportunity, Diversity, & Equity (CODE)
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Primarily responsible for facilitating the efficient operation of the Greater Omaha Chamber’s CODE team by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides general administrative support for the Greater Omaha Chamber’s CODE team. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
1. Committee Management: Managing administrative logistics associated with various CODE councils and committees (including, but not limited to, sending calendar invitations, updating databases, taking and sending meeting minutes, ordering meals, and preparing meeting rooms).
2. Programmatic Support: Managing administrative logistics associated with various CODE initiatives and programs (including, but not limited to, sending calendar invitations, updating databases, taking and sending meeting minutes, ordering meals, securing meeting spaces, and preparing meetings rooms).
3. Financial Management: Managing the development and execution of invoices for CODE programming and preparing monthly expense reports for team leadership.
4. Reporting: Monitor progress toward outcomes, provide accurate and timely reporting, and make modifications as necessary to reach desired results.
5. Meeting Scheduling: Supporting team leadership in scheduling meetings.
6. Communications: Fielding and directing outreach to the CODE team.
7. Budget: Work with the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to track all expenses and monitor the overall CODE budget.
8. Technology: Demonstrate growth in the utilization of CRM and assist all program operations by providing basic data entry.
9. Assist with other economic development efforts and serve as an ambassador for the partnership, the Chamber, and the Greater Omaha region.
10. Develop positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
11. Other duties as assigned.

- Engage with the Chamber’s commitment to equity, inclusion, diversity, and belonging and be an active participant in contributing to a welcoming and inclusive culture free of discrimination and harassment.
- Assist with other economic development efforts, especially those associated with the talent and workforce program of work, and serve as an ambassador for the Partnership, the Chamber and the Greater Omaha region.
- Assist with Chamber events as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and related work experience
1. HS diploma or equivalent preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
2. Experience working in an administrative role preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
Certifications, Licenses, Designations
Valid driver’s license.

1. Strong administrative and clerical skills.
2. Superior attention to detail and is used to prove both numbers and text successfully; and overall excellent oral and written communication skills with proficient spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
3. Proficiency in MS Office applications and basic databases.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
