The Foundry Engineering Manager will oversee all engineering and process related functions. Serve as contact for customers with technical issues related to project/part. Lead teams of other professionals through projects (new product, continuous improvement, etc.) Supervise other engineering staff.
What You'll Do:
- Coordinate project needs with sales and operations as necessary to ensure success of project launch and process methods.
- Document requests, drawing or specification clarification, technical status updates (on tooling or development testing).
- Provide leadership to operatives and other engineering staff in continuous improvement efforts.
- Ensure compliance and consistent use of QSI and engineering documentation systems.
- Solid modeling/drawing ability a plus.
- Schedule management to include: sense of urgency, communicate project status to general manager and customer as required, lead appropriate risk management and coordination of sampling/product development efforts.

What We Need from You:
- B.S. or related degree in industrial/mechanical engineering is required.
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years manufacturing experience and demonstrated leadership success in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous foundry experience is preferred.
- Must have strong computer skills, and proficiency in a wide variety of systems, including ERP systems.
- Must demonstrate strong communication skills including written, verbal, and presentation.
- Must have the ability to lead others, coach and mentor support team for professional growth and development.
- Must have strong organizational skills and be very detailed oriented.
- Works in the foundry 70% of the time, exposed to heat, dust, fumes and noise of floor operations. 30% of time in climate-controlled office at desk/keyboard.
- Must be able to wear required PPE when in the plant.
