The Millwright-Maintenance Technician will inspect, repair, replace, install, and maintain all mechanical production and equipment.
What You’ll Do:
- Inspects plant equipment for defects such as misalignment, wear, unusual noises, insufficient lubrication, and RPMs.
- Determines the best way of making repairs to minimize interruption of production and performs PM inspection and repairs.
- Advises when immediate shutdown of equipment is necessary to minimize damage or when temporarily continues operation will have no harmful defect.
- Dismantles, cleans, repairs, replaces, installs, maintains, assembles, and lubricates mechanical equipment.
- Adjust equipment for proper operating characteristics.
- Makes either temporary or permanent repairs.
- Assembles and aligns gears, bearings, and shafts involving the application of press, sliding, and running files.
- Operates simple machine tools such as drill presses, pipe cutting, threading machines, and power saws.
- Installs and repairs pipes, fittings, drains, and other pipefitting work relative to the trade.
- Erects scaffolds and performs simple rigging as necessary.
- Changes, sets up, and adjusts equipment as required by current operating conditions.
- Works with outside repair crews as directed on emergency breakdowns or installations.
- Keeps work areas and equipment clean and orderly.
- Receives instructions covering the scheduled and emergency repair, installation, and inspection work to be done.

What We Need from You:
- One to two years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Must be available for overtime as production needs require
- Exerting up to 50 pounds of force.
- Ability to frequently or constantly lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
