What are the responsibilities and job description for the JUNIOR DESIGNER position at Green 17?
We are looking to add to our team a skilled Junior Designer who is committed to the creation and development of outstanding design from concept through execution. This person will be integral to our workflow within and across projects, working at all levels of production and seeing our designs through to completion. We are seeking an individual with the experience and temperament to dive into design projects, working both collaboratively and independently to develop highly illustrative and precise project graphics and to convey documents and information to teammates and stakeholders towards project milestones.
- Participate in all project phases from schematic design to construction documents and construction administration
- Assist senior staff in development and quality control of design concepts and drawing sets, resolution of project design issues and overall project coordination
- Work with team to ensure client expectations for quality, schedule, and budget are met, assuring compliance with project scope of work, local codes and design criteria
- Assist with filing and general office organization
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture
- 2-3 years of experience with a landscape architecture practice
- Fluent in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and SketchUp
- Excellent technical and production skills from project concept through construction documents
- Strong horticultural and construction knowledge
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work 30-40 hours per week
