Job Description
Southfield Village is a faith based, not for profit, continuing care retirement community located on the south side of South Bend, Indiana. Our beautiful campus is home to 130 Independent, Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing Residents. We are looking for an experienced Full Time
Maintenance Worker, to provide a high level of customer service. Complete work orders for structural, electrical, plumbing, communicate with staff and residents to maintain a good working relationship. Must pass Drug Screening and Background check.
Duties Include:
- Assist with turnover work & renovations
- Help residents moving in or out of apartments
- Perform snow removal when needed
- Assist with special events, set-up & tear down
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements / Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years experience in Independent Living and Long-Term care required
- HVAC/Refrigeration preferred.
- Good communication skills.
- Skills in and good understanding of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry.
- Ability to lift to 75 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently
- Ability to Climb ladders and walk several miles per day
- Ability to work independently
License/Certification:
- Valid Drivers License (No moving violation within the last 3 years
Compensation:
- Based on experience
Schedule:
Monday Friday
Weekend & Holiday: Must work a rotating on call schedule
