Greene County Emergency Medical Services (GCEMS) is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to lead our training division and serve as our Training Lieutenant. Our agency desires an individual with forward-thinking philosophies and ideas to provide a model structure for all personnel. GCEMS places high value on meeting the certification and educational needs of our providers. The Training Lieutenant oversees all internal and external training, the GCEMS Field Training Program, and is part of the Operational Leadership Team. GCEMS utilizes state-of-the-art technologies and out-of-the-box field training that is quickly becoming a model for other agencies.
The candidate shall be a current NR-Paramedic, unrestricted Education Coordinator, AHA ACLS, PALS, and BTLS instructor with PHTLS instructor preferred. A minimum of (5) years of EMS field experience is required and a minimum of (3) years in EMS education is preferred. The Training Lieutenant also serves as the GCEMS Designated Infection Control Officer, if certification is not current. it must be obtained within (90) days of employment. The candidate shall also respond to emergency incidents and/or assist with coverage when staffing shortages occur. Leadership, dedication and passion is required.
