What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Attorney position at Greenfield Staffing Solutions?
Our client is looking for an experienced self-starting Associate to join our litigation group. Successful applicants will have exceptional writing, research, and litigation skills. This position is full-time. The Associate will work directly with and learn from a highly experienced and fun group of attorneys and staff members. We maintain a professional yet laid back work environment. A candidate must be a team player willing to assist other team members when necessary.

- File review and legal analysis of claims and causes of action
- Extensive legal research and drafting of substantial briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs
- Regularly representing clients in court, at arbitrations and in depositions
- Drafting and responding to discovery requests
- Expert witness retention and collaboration
- Trial preparation and attendance
- Some travel may be required
- 2-4 years of civil litigation experience with an emphasis in insurance defense
- Familiar with handling civil cases from beginning to end,
- Experience taking and defending depositions to include 30(b)(6) and experts, drafting and arguing substantive motions, attending hearings and trials
- Experience participating in negotiations and mediations
- J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school
- Admitted to practice in the state, other states a plus but not required
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
- Solid research abilities and written and oral communication skills
- Strong work ethic, ability to self-manage and work in a team environment
- Must respond promptly to e-mail and phone inquiries
- Excellent client skills and telephone manner
