Your opportunity:
Provide application development support using standard, well-defined methods to support the business unit processes of Greenheck. Development support may include third party software or in-house developed applications. This position is able to develop new or revise existing applications to make refinements, increase operating efficiency or improve present techniques.
What you'll be doing:
- Develop, modify and maintains customer facing programs such as desktop software and web applications.
- Ability to create application documentation that is clear, succinct, accurate and appropriately detailed. Tests applications and provides clearly written documentation and operator instructions.
- With guidance develop specifications based on end user requirements.
- Ability to support small projects as directed.
- Frequently communicate with the business in the development process to discuss the system specifications and gain a basic understanding of the business processes.
- May be asked to participate on project teams along with business end-users.
- Work with IT and utilize standard tools to implement/control software releases to production.
- Work may include but is not limited to:
- Software development
- Software maintenance
- Software testing
- Product and constraint modelling
- Often participates in business process improvement initiatives.
What you should have:
- Work requires extensive technical or specialized training such as that which would be acquired in the first two or three years of college or technical school.
- Between 1 - 3 years of work experience is required.
- Must have the ability to work in both a collaborative environment and independently.
Experience preferred in following:
- Microsoft Visual Studio development environment (C#)
- C# programming language
- XSLT, XML
- Object oriented programming logic
- Systems analysis and design
