Your opportunity:

Provide application development support using standard, well-defined methods to support the business unit processes of Greenheck. Development support may include third party software or in-house developed applications. This position is able to develop new or revise existing applications to make refinements, increase operating efficiency or improve present techniques.

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop, modify and maintains customer facing programs such as desktop software and web applications.
  • Ability to create application documentation that is clear, succinct, accurate and appropriately detailed. Tests applications and provides clearly written documentation and operator instructions.
  • With guidance develop specifications based on end user requirements.
  • Ability to support small projects as directed.
  • Frequently communicate with the business in the development process to discuss the system specifications and gain a basic understanding of the business processes.
  • May be asked to participate on project teams along with business end-users.
  • Work with IT and utilize standard tools to implement/control software releases to production.
  • Work may include but is not limited to:
    • Software development
    • Software maintenance
    • Software testing
    • Product and constraint modelling
  • Often participates in business process improvement initiatives.

What you should have:

  • Work requires extensive technical or specialized training such as that which would be acquired in the first two or three years of college or technical school.
  • Between 1 - 3 years of work experience is required.
  • Must have the ability to work in both a collaborative environment and independently.

Experience preferred in following:

  • Microsoft Visual Studio development environment (C#)
  • C# programming language
  • XSLT, XML
  • Object oriented programming logic
  • Systems analysis and design
