Automotive Sales Consultant
Greenway Ford | CDJR | GMC, a family-owned dealership in Morris, IL since 1967, is expanding and looking for both entry-level and experienced Sales Consultants to join our growing team. We’re seeking ambitious, results-driven professionals eager to thrive in a dynamic sales environment and meet the demands of a rapidly growing customer base.

Compensation: $50,000 - $110,000 annually, full-time
Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday through Saturday (closed Sundays, with one day off between Monday and Friday)
Job Responsibilities
- Promptly engage all inbound leads—including text messages, video, email, phone calls, internet inquiries, walk-ins, and social media—using the CRM and other dealership technologies.
- Greet customers in a professional, friendly manner and actively listen to understand their needs, preferences, and buying motivations.
- Demonstrate in-depth product knowledge to guide customers through their options, ensuring a high-quality, tailored sales experience.
- Manage every stage of the sales process from initial client engagement to the vehicle delivery, creating a seamless customer journey.
- Conduct test drives and provide product demonstrations to showcase the value and features of vehicles.
- Adhere to the dealership’s established sales process, ensuring consistency in service and customer experience.
- Use digital tools (CRM, applications, iPads, social media) to enhance sales efficiency, foster customer rapport, and track customer interactions.
- Accurately maintain lead data in the CRM, ensuring all customer details are up-to-date for effective follow-up and recordkeeping.
- Conduct post-sale follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction, address any questions, and foster long-term relationships.
- Stay informed on new products, market trends, and certifications to maintain expert knowledge and provide customers with current information.
- Required to ensure all OEM sales training and certifications are complete.
- Collaborate with sales leadership to achieve individual and team goals, continuously working to increase close rates and sales performance.
- Meet or exceed dealership standards for Customer Service Index, Gross Average, and monthly unit sales.
- Assist in the upkeep and presentation of the dealership lot, maintaining vehicle displays and inventory appearance.
Experience, Training, and Certification
- Previous experience in sales, education, or formal sales training is beneficial but not required
- Familiarity with VinSolutions CRM is advantageous
- Sales experience in for Ford, CDJR, or GMC vehicle lines are highly valued

Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass background checks and a drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Basic computer and typing skills
- Physical ability to walk, stand, and climb in and out of vehicles throughout the workday
- Willingness to work outdoors year-round, in varying weather conditions
