Griner Engineering, Inc. (GEI), a Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection Consulting Engineering firm located in Sevierville, TN, has an opening for an experienced Mechanical Engineer EIT. The preferred candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of design experience in the MEP Consulting Engineering industry.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office
- Strong mechanical knowledge and experience in mechanical design
- Familiarity with budgeting and project scheduling
- Engineer In Training (EIT) certification is a plus
- Ability to work with CAD software and interpret schematics
Responsibilities:
- Working knowledge of Building Codes and local codes.
- Proven ability to produce a full set of mechanical drawings based on the client’s design criteria including specifications, if required.
- Experience with managing a design project from proposal acceptance through completion.
- Ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary design team to include other engineers, architects, owners, contractors, subcontractors, and other invested parties.
- Experience with responding to reviewer comments, reviewing submittals, and RFI’s.
- Proven ability to stay on schedule and on budget.
- Able to perform site visits to examine/verify existing conditions, mechanical inspections, and mechanical analyses.
- Proven proficiency in Revit; proficiency in AutoCAD is assumed. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is expected.

- Salary ranging from $60,000/yr. to $110,000/yr., commensurate with experience.
